  The tuna was delicious. I could have made a meal out of the Asian slaw it was that good. I appreciated the friendly staff and their menu suggestions.

  My wife and I went here for Sunday brunch and I promise you it will be the last time.
  HANDS DOWN THE WORST FOOD EVER!
  Ordered Eggs Benedict, Hash Browns and a side of Bacon.
  First off the service was terrible. Didn't get refills on coffee even after I asked a few times. The Hash Browns were burnt. The sauce had way too much margarine which I didn't even think was part of the recipe. You could taste it. Bacon was ready made garbage. Muffins were ready made garbage. All of the portions were very small (blessing in disguise).
  $32.00 later. Yikes.
  
  I swear the bartender had an additional duty as the cook/chef here.
  
  Stay away. Go to the Tidewater. Great food. Great service. Good prices. Actual cooks doing the cooking.
  
  And no. I don't work there. I'm newly relocated to the area.
  
  Just trying all the local joints out.

  We have lived in HdG for 7 years and MacGregor's is our go-to restuarant. You're always going to get good food, nice variety, and a unique specials menu. The beer is cold and they do have rotating draughts. The staff has always been so friendly to us (we have two young children and have been going since they were born) even when the kids are acting crazy. We love to sit outside and look at the boats on the water and trains crossing the bridge. Overall, MacGregor's is a casual, fun restaurant where you can get a really good meal and leave happy.
